OIL IMPREGNATED IRON CASTINGS

OILLLES #300 is a special type of OILLESS bearing in which the porous structure from the cast iron growth phenomenon is effectively utilized to contain lubricant oil therein.

Generally, gray cast iron is used for many machines, press dies and structural materials. Application as sliding material shows better seizure resistance and wear resistant resulting from lubrication effect by graphite contained in the composition than steels.

Oilless #300 which bases these characteristic of gray cast iron develops pores inside material by repeating composition adjustment and heat treatment. Oil is impregnated into the pores.

FEATURES
  • Suit for middle & high speed usage of light load and low & middle speed of heavy load.
  • Even if lubricating is not made, seizure will occur immediately.
  • The number of lubricating times can be reduced to about one fourth of that required for a gun metal bearing.
  • Lubricant oil being contained in porosities, an oil film can be stably maintained improving resistance to wear.
  • Every size and form can be produced as possible working up in a casting and machining.
  • Generally more economical than gun metal bearings.
