CLASSIFICATION |
BABBITT
GRAPHALLOY For
operating temperatures upto 300o F for applications is in inacessible places or
where oil or grease cannot be used. Babbitt GRAPHALLOY is unexcelled for medium
load-medium speed or medium load-high speed applications, pump bushings, thrust
washers, and rotary seal rings.
COPPER
GRAPHALLOY For
operating temperatures upto 750o F, this material is ideally suited for applications
where ordinary lubrication cannot be used. It is most commonly used in low speed-heavy
load applications such as drying oven conveyor bushings, high temperature stirring
shafts, and agitators. As a material for current-carrying bushing applications,
Copper GRAPHALLOY is an excellent solution.
BRONZE
GRAPHALLOY This
material is used on many special appliations and is particularly useful for miniature
bushings. Some grades are suitable for operating temperatures upto 750o F. |
|
SILVER
GRAPHALLOY Available
in a wide variety of grades, Silver GRAPHALLOY is recommended for many f the most
difficult self-lubricating busing applications such as roller contacts, ball-bearing
shorting rings, high frequency chokes, and critical instrument and control equipment.
Although it is primarily an electrical contact or brush material par excellence,
it is often used as a bushing material in chemical solutions which attack other
lubricants or metallic busings, but which do not affect Silver GRAPHALLOY. Extraordinary
current-carrying bearing applications have also been made possible through the
use of Silver GRAPHALLOY.
ANTIMONY
GRAPHALLOY For
low friction applications at higher temperatures.
NICKEL
GRAPHALLOY For
chemical and atomic applications requiring broad chemical inertness with exceptional
toughness. | |
SPECIAL
GRAPHALLOYS For
special conditions, other types of GRAPHALLOY are available. New types are being
developed to meet the special needs of a wide variety of industries. There are
several hundred grades of GRAPHALLOY.
